Hessian Top Minister Boris Rein congratulated his new colleague Gordon Schneider (each CDU) and highlighted his place at the AfD. Rein identified that he needs Schneider “happiness and success in the next term”. “He has taken a clear stance towards the AfD and has categorically rejected any cooperation. In doing so, he is putting the focus on social cohesion.”

Schneider was once elected head of the CDU-SPD coalition executive within the state parliament of Mainz in neighboring Rhine-Palatinate. Which means each states at the moment are dominated via black and pink. Rhine added: “We will continue to advance cross-border issues together. I look forward to working together in a great neighborhood.”
