Man, 62, whose dog launched ‘horrific’ attack on 11-year-old girl walks free from court

Farhat Ajaz, 62, leaving Birmingham Crown Court after receiving a suspended sentence over a dog attack which injured an 11-year-old and two men who came to her aid. CCTV from a shop was played in court on Friday, showing the dog, named Tyson, snapping its collar and attacking the 11-year-old in Bordesley Green, Birmingham, on September 9 last year. The victim, who cannot be named because of her age, was left with scarring to her arm and shoulder. Picture date: Friday November 15, 2024.
