Man charged after officer stabbed in chest at Category A prison

A view of HMP Frankland in Durham, where a police officer was stabbed in the chest earlier today. The officer, who is from an outside force, was injured just after 11am. A Durham Police spokesman has said in a statement that the injured officer has been taken to hospital by ambulance, where he is described as being "conscious and talking" .
